In this tutorial we learn how to install openigtlink-doc on Kali Linux.

openigtlink-doc is:

Open IGT Link is a simple network protocol intended for trackers, robots and other devices to send data to the main application. Some devices might also accept commands.

For example applications may include:

  • Stereotactic surgical guidance using optical position sensor and medical image visualization software.
  • Intraoperative image guidance using real-time MRI and medical image visualization software
  • Robot-assisted intervention using robotic device and surgical planning software

There are three methods to install openigtlink-doc on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

sudo apt-get update

After updating apt database, We can install openigtlink-doc using apt-get by running the following command:

sudo apt-get -y install openigtlink-doc

Update apt database with apt using the following command.

sudo apt update

After updating apt database, We can install openigtlink-doc using apt by running the following command:

sudo apt -y install openigtlink-doc
