How To Install libmpc-dev on Kali Linux
Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install libmpc-dev on Kali Linux.
What is libmpc-dev
libmpc-dev is:
MPC is a portable library written in C for arbitrary precision arithmetic on complex numbers providing correct rounding. For the time being, it contains all arithmetic operations over complex numbers, the exponential and the logarithm functions, the trigonometric and hyperbolic functions.
Ultimately, it should implement a multiprecision equivalent of the ISO C99 standard.
It builds upon the GNU MP and the MPFR libraries.
There are three methods to install libmpc-dev on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install libmpc-dev Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install libmpc-dev using apt-get by running the following command:

Update apt database with apt using the following command.

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.

sudo aptitude -y install libmpc-devHow To Uninstall libmpc-dev on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the libmpc-dev package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove libmpc-devUninstall libmpc-dev And Its Dependencies
To uninstall libmpc-dev and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove libmpc-devRemove libmpc-dev Configurations and Data
To remove libmpc-dev configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge libmpc-devRemove libmpc-dev configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
