How To Install gambc on Kali Linux

In this tutorial we learn how to install gambc on Kali Linux.
What is gambc
gambc is:
The gambc package includes a Scheme interpreter and a Scheme compiler which can be used to build standalone executables. The thread system is very efficient and can support millions of concurrent processes.
The Gambit system conforms to the R4RS, R5RS and IEEE Scheme standards. The full numeric tower is implemented, including: infinite precision integers (bignums), rationals, inexact reals (floating point numbers), and complex numbers. Gambit supports a number of extensions to the standards.
There are three methods to install gambc on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install gambc Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install gambc using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install gambcInstall gambc Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install gambc using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install gambcInstall gambc Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude updateAfter updating apt database, We can install gambc using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install gambcHow To Uninstall gambc on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the gambc package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove gambcUninstall gambc And Its Dependencies
To uninstall gambc and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove gambcRemove gambc Configurations and Data
To remove gambc configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge gambcRemove gambc configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove gambc configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge gambcDependencies
