How To Install fosfat on Kali Linux

In this tutorial we learn how to install fosfat on Kali Linux.
What is fosfat
fosfat is:
Fosfat is a C library for providing read-only access to a Smaky formatted disk. Currently, only a tool and a FUSE extension that use this library can be used for reading a directory and copying a file.
The Smaky is a line of mostly 8-bit personal computers and accompanying operating system developed at the EPFL (?cole Polytechnique Federale de Lausanne), in Switzerland, from 1974.
There are three methods to install fosfat on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install fosfat Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install fosfat using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install fosfatInstall fosfat Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install fosfat using apt by running the following command:

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.

To uninstall only the fosfat package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove fosfatUninstall fosfat And Its Dependencies
To uninstall fosfat and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove fosfatRemove fosfat Configurations and Data
To remove fosfat configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge fosfatRemove fosfat configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
