fdkaac is a command-line AAC encoder based on libfdk-aac.

It reads linear PCM audio in either WAV, raw PCM, or CAF format and encodes it into M4A / AAC files.

There are three methods to install fdkaac on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Install fdkaac Using apt-get

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

sudo apt-get update
