How To Install cdecl on Kali Linux

What is cdecl

cdecl is:

Cdecl is a program which will turn English-like phrases such as “declare foo as array 5 of pointer to function returning int” into C declarations such as “int (*foo[5])()”. It can also translate the C into the pseudo- English. And it handles typecasts, too. Plus C++. And in this version it has command line editing and history with the GNU readline library.

There are three methods to install cdecl on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Install cdecl Using apt-get

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

sudo apt-get update

After updating apt database, We can install cdecl using apt-get by running the following command:

sudo apt-get -y install cdecl
