How To Install ccdiff on Kali Linux
Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install ccdiff on Kali Linux.
What is ccdiff
ccdiff is:
ccdiff is a colored diff that also colors inside changed lines.
All command-line tools that show the difference between two files fall short
in showing minor changes visually useful. ccdiff tries to give the look and
feel of diff --color or colordiff, but extending the display of colored
output from colored deleted and added lines to colors for deleted and added
characters within the changed lines.
There are three methods to install ccdiff on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install ccdiff Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install ccdiff using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install ccdiffInstall ccdiff Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install ccdiff using apt by running the following command:

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.

To uninstall only the ccdiff package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove ccdiffUninstall ccdiff And Its Dependencies
To uninstall ccdiff and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove ccdiffRemove ccdiff Configurations and Data
To remove ccdiff configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge ccdiffRemove ccdiff configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove ccdiff configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
