What is ipa-python-compat.noarch
IPA is an integrated solution to provide centrally managed Identity (users, hosts, services), Authentication (SSO, 2FA), and Authorization (host access control, SELinux user roles, services). The solution provides features for further integration with Linux based clients (SUDO, automount) and integration with Active Directory based infrastructures (Trusts). This is a compatibility package to accommodate ipa-python split into python2-ipalib and ipa-common. Packages still depending on ipa-python should be fixed to depend on python2-ipaclient or ipa-common instead.
We can use yum to install ipa-python-compat.noarch on Amazon Linux 2. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install ipa-python-compat.noarch.
Install ipa-python-compat.noarch on Amazon Linux 2 Using yum
Update yum database with yum using the following command.
sudo yum makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install ipa-python-compat.noarch using yum by running the following command:
sudo yum -y install ipa-python-compat.noarch
How To Uninstall ipa-python-compat.noarch on Amazon Linux 2
To uninstall only the ipa-python-compat.noarch package we can use the following command:
